I see most are commenting about the smoke. This aircraft is of 1952 meaning its development was during the 1940s. At that time it was the norm for jet engines to smoke including passenger jets like 707 far from today's 787s. I bet for bomber machinery priority is about ability, cost, efficiency and practicability. Its not a passenger plane that is why it has remained unchanged and they intend to be in use for the next 40 years.

A landing at the precise crosswind component limit (40) means there was no margin of safety.
